Last year we held 11 amazing shows at The Arena at the Pleasure
Beach in Blackpool, featuring mesmerising performances by
a host of celebrity and professional skaters, including
Karen Barber, Hayley Tamaddon, Steven Cousins, Brianne Dulcourt
and Danny Young..
Continuing the 2009 Ice Party tour,
the cast and crew landed in the sunny seaside resort of
Bournemouth to see out the Summer at the Bournemouth International
Centre (BIC), just a few hundred yards from the beach. Kyran
Bracken, Hollyoaks actor Chris Fountain and investigative
reporter Donal MacIntyre welcomed back actresses Clare Buckfield
and Suzanne Shaw to the ice for some glittering skating
routines. Off the ice, singer and actor Duncan James together
with X Factor 2008 finalist Marisa Billitteri gave some
stunning vocal performances which astounded the Bournemouth
audiences every time.
Following on from the sell-out Jersey
performances in 2008, Kyran was thrilled to be able to bring
the Ice Party back to Fort Regent, Jersey for a second time.
The Jersey audiences had already been wowed with the spectacular
Ice Party show the year before, but Kyran was determined
to bring the Ice Party back bigger and more spectacular
than ever for 2009. Joined by his celebrity ice dancing
friends Hollyoaks actor Chris Fountain, and investigative
reporter Donal MacIntyre the shows proved to be THE event
of the summer for the island community.
In July 2008, the very first Ice Party
arrived on the beautiful island of Jersey and proved to
be a huge success, with every show at the Fort Regent Leisure
Centre in St. Helier, a sell-out. Directed by Olympic gold
medallist and World Champion Robin Cousins, the show featured
breathtaking performances from Dancing on Ice 2007 winner
Kyran Bracken, his skating partner Nina Ulanova and Dancing
on Ice 2007 finalist Clare Buckfield. The cast thrilled
audiences with over two hours of spectacular skating, including
a stunning display of ice skating by Russian champion figure
skater Igor Lyutikov.
After
successful shows in Jersey earlier in the year, Kyran brought his Ice Party to
Clevedon, Bristol for the first time in December 2008 for two sell-out Christmas
shows. Amazing performances from Kyran Bracken himself plus celebrity friends
Clare Buckfield and Suzanne Shaw wowed audiences with a little help from some
of the world's best professional skaters. The show featured spectacular stunts;
including fire and hula hoop routines, as well as vocal performances from Boyzone
singer Stephen Gately and X Factor 2008 finalist Marisa Billitteri.
